Grace Joseph was baptized and raised in the Orthodox Church in America (Russian tradition). As an adult, she was confirmed in the Episcopal church, and has since been an active member of many Episcopal parishes where she has served in various capacities. Grace and her spouse David first became members of St. Alban’s after moving to the Meadowbrook neighborhood in 2005. They left the area in 2007, but returned to DeWitt along with David’s mother Mary in 2016, and were delighted to rejoin the St. Alban’s community. Grace has been a member of the vestry since early 2017, and serves the parish as the liaison to the food pantry ministry at Valley Worship Center on Midland Ave where she also volunteers. She is active with Meals on Wheels, and makes weekly visits to a local retirement community with her certified therapy dog Annika. Grace had a rewarding career as a Spanish teacher, but now enjoys cooking, reading, travelling, and attending live performances and music events when she’s not volunteering or looking after her family.
