As of 1 Apr 2022 Due to the CDC moving us up to High, masks and social distancing are again required in the building.
As of 15 Mar 2022 During Worship: No changes made at this time. The Vestry will re-evaluate monthly. Masks and social distancing are still required and we will continue to receive communion as we have been. Readers may continue to remove their masks while reading. Outside of Worship: Masks and social distancing are optional as long as the CDC county map gives us a low rating. If the rating returns to medium masks will again be required at all times, with the exception of eating/drinking at coffee hour. Groups that use our building can make masking and social distancing optional, but we strongly recommend that they follow CDC guidelines, as will we. Signing In: We will continue to ask people to sign in for contact tracing purposes.
As of August, 2021
Masks now need to be worn at in-person gatherings, whether one is vaccinated or not.
As of June 15, 2021
There is a lengthy document from NYS outlining procedures for religious services and funerals. That document was recently changed to allow fully vaccinated people to sing. It states, “However, any singing activity must provide for a distance between individuals of at least twelve feet, subject to additional protective measures, unless the congregants/attendees and singers within twelve feet of one another are fully vaccinated.” Also, masks and social distancing are no longer required.
Unvaccinated or partially vaccinated people still need to wear masks and maintain social distance. They can sing softly while masked and socially distanced. Since some of our fully vaccinated folk may choose to wear a mask I ask that you maintain social distance from anyone wearing a mask, vaccinated or not.
Everyone still needs to sign in and use hand sanitizer upon entering the building. Please continue to enter through the ramp door. Indoor coffee hour is discouraged by NYS guidelines, so we will continue to have it outdoors. We will continue to remain in our pews to greet one another at the Peace and to receive communion from the table in front of the pews. We will begin using every other pew instead of every third pew. There are 5.5 feet between every other pew. The positivity rate in Onondaga County is down to 0.35%.
