Kim Privler
Our former Parish Secretary
Kim Privler comes from six generations of active Episcopalians and has had a lifelong relationship with the Episcopal Church as she was baptized at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Albany, NY, attended St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Adams, MA, participating in bible studies and church choir all through school, and later confirmed at the age of 21 at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Albany, NY.
After living in Los Angeles, CA throughout the 1990's, Kim returned to New York State, relocating to Central New York in 2005. Kim brings to St. Alban's more than 30 years' office experience and nearly a decade's experience building websites and was happy to have designed this site. She joined St. Alban's Episcopal Church in June 2015 as Parish Secretary, and has found the breadth and depth of opportunities to serve God and His Church in new ways in this position very exciting. Kim’s secondary calling comes in the form of part-time work using music to entertain children in many schools, libraries, and community events, as well as performing at senior centers, rehabs, and nursing care facilities. Kim’s family includes her parents, Robert and Libby (member St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Albany, NY), brother Jason, 15-year-old son, Austin who volunteers at St. Alban's, and has performed music with Kim for St. Alban's events, as well as her long-time boyfriend, Tim; who also has volunteered at St. Alban's, as well as her many amazing friends, who she considers extended family. In her free time, Kim enjoys playing piano, singing, writing (song lyrics, music, and children's books,) theater, travel, playing with her dog, Lucy; visiting with family and friends; and dabbling (time permitting) with her long-time love of genealogy, cooking, power walking, and reading. She loves meeting new people and thoroughly enjoys receiving visitors in her office at work. |
